The experience of waking up is often referred to as a spiritual awakening. Spiritual does not necessarily refer to the spiritual realm, but rather to one’s spirit, one’s true self, one’s heart. It’s how we are connected to everything else, which includes the intangible aspects of life. Let’s review how to raise your consciousness and gain more peace.
The deeper aspect of returning to one’s heart is that there is a realization of the connectivity of oneself to all others and to our own deeper truth. In a very real way, whatever we think, do, or say affects everyone and everything else in the chain of life. The realization of this connection brings with it a sense of responsibility, but more in the vein of accountability. Why? Because a return to the heart usually triggers a reconnection of love and compassion for humanity. Waking up is a return to the heart. When awake and aware in this way, we would never want to do anything that would harm any other.
Conscious Awareness
No matter what is keeping, or has kept us asleep, when we begin to realize that there is another state of conscious awareness that we can experience and we get a feel of what that state of awareness is, very often this becomes a defining point in our lives, After someone becomes aware of what being awake is like, trying to slumber or remain asleep seldom works. Usually, avoidance is accompanied by some form of discomfort or even painfulness.
Choosing to live consciously means that, even when we are the only ones staying conscious at a particular moment, we remain committed to staying conscious. We don’t fall into societal patterns or give in to morphic fields. One has to be so committed to living an aware. They have to awaken life that it does not matter if no one else knows what we are doing; we live this way because it is the best thing for us and for everyone else.
Awakening
In conclusion, staying awake is deciding to remain there and not fall away from that state of being ever again. For those who experience awakening, one thing they seem to do is to move the intention to stay awake to a foundational intention in their life. This means that it gets built into their value system and their daily thinking. It is as if old filters in their mind are replaced with new ones. These new ones put all aspects of life through the awareness of what is right and good and true for all of humanity. Including themselves, in which they work diligently to live by this new frame of reference.
That is to say, for a person who has chosen to stay awake and present there is no question about this choice. It becomes one of their high intentions, one of their values. It becomes a defining characteristic of how they live their life.
